
tech wizards terms and conditions
by choosing tech wizards you agree to our terms and conditions for providing services.
1. on-site visit process
initial diagnosis: when we arrive for an on-site visit, our first step will be to diagnose the issue you've described.
estimated time: we may provide an estimated time to complete the services. please note that this is only an estimate and may not always be accurate.
1.1 duration and completion
minimum callout is one hour.
the length of the on-site visit will be agreed upon mutually. if the services cannot be completed within the agreed time, we will consider options like extending the visit, scheduling another visit, or discontinuing the services. you have the right to terminate the on-site visit at any time.
1.2 payment obligation
once an on-site visit begins, you are responsible for paying the associated fees, including the callout fee and the equivalent of the hourly rate, regardless of the duration or completion status of the visit. if the job is less than one hour, you will be granted ‘wizard credit’, which you can use at a later date. for example, if a job is completed within 15 minutes, you will have 45 minutes of wizard credit available for the next appointment or through remote support.
the callout fee is $20, and the hourly which is a sliding scale from $80 to $140. you may choose a rate within this range that you find appropriate. For more information on the sliding scale please visit www.techwizards.co.nz / pricing
1.3 Remote support
tech wizards offer remote support with no callout fee and a rate of $70-$100 per hour.
1.4 required cooperation
to help us provide our services efficiently, we ask that you provide all necessary information, assistance, and access to your premises and equipment. a person aged 16 or older must be present during the service.
1.5 no guarantee of success
we will make every effort to achieve the objectives of the service, but we cannot guarantee success. our liability is limited to using reasonable efforts. if, after 30 minutes, our technician determines the job is not feasible within their skill set, you will be advised. you will be required to pay the callout fee + 50% of the hourly rate. alternatively, you may choose to have the technician stay for the full hour to assist with any other technical issues.
2. data privacy
at tech wizards, we prioritize your privacy. any information, passwords, or data shared with a technician will be deleted immediately after the job is completed. we will not store any customer data apart from contact information and will not send email campaigns unless you agree to receive them.
2.1 data safety
while we strongly advise you to back up your data, tech wizards is not liable for any data loss resulting from a job or troubleshooting. our technicians may refuse service if there is a high risk of data loss and you do not have a backup. in such cases, the job may be postponed, and you will be advised to back up your data before proceeding. our technicians can assist with backing up data, either through cloud services or physical backups, if needed.
2.3 technician safety
if our technician feels that the environment or conditions are unsafe or detrimental to health, they have the right to terminate the job. in such instances, the customer will be informed accordingly.
agreement
by using our service, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined above. you acknowledge that the technician will make their best effort to resolve any issues, but success is not guaranteed and is at your discretion. tech wizards is not responsible for data loss and assumes that customers will manage their own data backups. if your data is not backed up, you may request our assistance in creating a backup before we perform any work that might affect your data.
